Position Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop detailed test plans and strategies for OAM software components in a 4G/5G network environment, covering functional, performance, scalability, and usability aspects.
- Test Case Design: Create test cases that validate the proper operation of OAM functionalities, including network element management, configuration, fault management, performance monitoring and software upgrades.
- Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to validate OAM software behavior under various scenarios, ensuring compliance with 4G/5G standards and specifications.
- Automation Development: Create and maintain automated test scripts to enhance test efficiency and coverage for OAM software.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify and document defects, anomalies, and issues found during testing, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Test Environment Setup: Configure and manage test environments that mirror real-world 4G/5G network deployments, ensuring accurate simulation of OAM functionalities.
- Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and system architects to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication throughout the QA process.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression tests to verify the impact of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements on existing OAM functionalities.
- Performance and Scalability Testing: Perform tests to assess the OAM software's performance, scalability, and capacity handling capabilities.
- Documentation: Create clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in 4G/5G networks, OAM solutions, and QA methodologies, contributing to process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 0-2 years of proven experience in software quality assurance with a focus on OAM functionalities in 4G/5G networks.
- Knowledge of 4G/5G network architecture, interfaces etc.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies, test case design, and test execution.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
