Job Description
Gilead Sciences is looking for an Associate Director – US Commercial Finance to join our FP&A team in Foster City, CA. In this important role, you will own and lead HCV Therapeutic Area within Liver franchise, including Revenue and Pricing (GTN), and closely partner with various cross functional stakeholders and leadership across Finance, US Commercial incl. US Sales and Marketing organization, as well as other stakeholders within Gilead’s network.
While reporting to the Head of Liver Commercial Finance, you will have diverse responsibilities ranging from improving contracting strategy, supporting new legislations & legal requests, supporting MEC and forecast processes, helping with and designing resource allocation processes, enhancing financial analysis models to improve decision making to assisting with implementations of ERP/other systems and ad hoc requests.
This is an individual contributor role.
What you will do:
Lead all Finance deliverables related to Revenue and Pricing within HCV TA.
Lead Audit and GTN responsibilities on behalf of the Liver Finance Team- by coordinating the deliverables within the team; and by working with other stakeholders outside of the team.
Provide on-going and ad-hoc revenue and pricing/GTN analytical support to management, cross-functional teams.
Contribute to the HCV contracting strategy & analysis in partnership with Managed Markets, and Pricing team.
Support Revenue and GTN/Pricing forecasting & assumptions.
Be the point of contact for any legal requests, state data requirements, & collate financial litigation materials as needed within your area of responsibility.
Establish strong business partnerships with the US Commercial organization and supporting functions to provide comprehensive financial support and ongoing analytics.
Drive development of meaningful financial analyses and create effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
Drive development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives. Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to develop continuous process improvements to planning, analyses and reporting.
Be an expert in relevant Gilead Financial tools/systems, provide expertise and support to broader US Commercial Finance team.

This includes providing guidance on project scope and timelines, integrating the work of multiple teams into project deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
MS/ MBA with 8+ years of finance experience OR
BS/BA with 10+ years of finance experience with increasing scope
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ Years of operational Revenue, Gross to Net experience & Pharma pricing knowledge required.
Excellent analytical and modeling skills, strong knowledge of GAAP and solid understanding of corporate finance concepts.
A CPA or master’s degree
Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is required.
Solution oriented, with good analytical capabilities.
Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as an effective member of our team.
