Job Description

Your Opportunity

As an Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role supporting a diverse client portfolio across a diverse client base.

You will:

  • Lead income tax-focused advisory work across a range of areas, such as business/group restructures, mergers and acquisitions and international expansion
  • Lead client engagements covering income tax issues such as capital gains tax rollovers, tax consolidation, tax loss utilisation, Division 7A, thin capitalisation and significant global entities
  • Deliver income tax returns across a broad range of clients covering corporate, international and private groups, including companies and trusts
  • Lead ATO reviews and audits for a diverse client base and collaborate with the ATO
  • Deliver tax risk management and governance frameworks for businesses & groups
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely delivery of all client work
  • Build and maintain client relationships through regular engagement and high-quality delivery
  • Collaborate with the wider KPMG firm to deliver integrated client outcomes
  • Support the development and coaching of team members and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Contribute to broader team success and development through leading tax training and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Lead management of on-going team initiatives such as workflow management, process improvement and team building

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in leading income tax compliance and advisory engagements within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Strong experience with delivering tax advisory focused engagements for a broad range of clients
  • Strong exposure to a range of income tax issues across a broad range of clients, including corporate, international and private focused.
  • Ability to stay up to date with tax legislation, ATO guidance and relevant case law and engagement in thought leadership with clients and team members
  • Strong technical capability across tax compliance and advisory with a hands-on delivery focus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a client-centric approach and an ability to successfully lead client engagement and relationships
  • Excellent communicator and willingness to work collaboratively in teams
  • Experience in coaching and supporting team members
  • Strong experience in leading teams and optimisation of processes

Qualifications

  • CA / CPA (or equivalent) or currently studying towards qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Skills Required
