Position Summary
We are seeking an exceptionally analytical, resourceful, and driven individual to join our team as Associate Director of Operations. This role is ideal for a natural problem-solver who thrives on complex challenges, learns quickly, and can turn information into effective solutions.
Working closely with the Senior Director of Operations, this individual will support operations across multiple warehouse facilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide hands-on leadership when needed.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, thinks critically, exercises sound judgment, and has the confidence to take initiative. While experience in warehouse operations is valuable, we place greater emphasis on an individual's ability to think strategically, solve problems, and quickly master new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex operational challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • Evaluate warehouse performance, processes, and data to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Provide on-site operational leadership and support across multiple warehouse facilities.
  • Quickly learn and leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to troubleshoot issues and improve operations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and help implement consistent, scalable operational practices.
  • Collaborate with facility leaders and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve business objectives.
  • Support new customer implementations, facility transitions, and operational projects.
  • Make sound, independent decisions in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
  • Coach and support warehouse leaders to strengthen problem-solving, accountability, and operational performance.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex systems, processes, and technologies quickly.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to make informed decisions with limited direction.
  • Ability to interpret data, recognize patterns, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Proficiency with Excel and an aptitude for learning technical systems.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), particularly Deposco, is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, occasionally with limited notice, and work directly in warehouse environments.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
We're looking for someone who doesn't just manage operations — they understand how to make them better.
The successful candidate asks thoughtful questions, challenges inefficient processes, and approaches problems with curiosity and sound judgment. They can see the bigger picture without overlooking important details, confidently make decisions with incomplete information, and turn complex challenges into practical solutions.
Above all, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, learns quickly, earns the trust of others, and consistently finds ways to improve the business.
