We Are Seeking an Associate Director, Marketing & Culture Who Can Turn Creative Ideas Into Experiences.

As Associate Director, Marketing & Culture for The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, you will run the day-to-day marketing and programming operations for the property. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Culture, hotel leadership, and Corporate Marketing, you will manage the day-to-day coordination and execution of campaigns, content, partnerships, and programming across the hotel, spa, restaurants, bars, and membership community.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between creative ideas and practical execution. You will coordinate projects from brief through launch, keep stakeholders informed, maintain a strong eye for brand and detail, and help ensure that guests and members encounter a consistent experience across every touchpoint.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Department Management

  • Directly manage the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator, setting priorities, assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule. 
  • Lead regular team meetings and one-on-ones, provide clear feedback, and support each team member’s development and performance. 
  • Translate the Director of Marketing & Culture’s priorities into actionable plans for the team, balancing planned campaigns with day-to-day requests from across the property. 
  • Keep one clear calendar of campaigns, shoots, emails, and events; set deadlines for the Marketing Manager and Coordinator; and make sure work reaches the right people for approval before it goes live.
  • Serve as the senior day-to-day marketing contact for property leadership, bringing strategic, budgetary, or reputational decisions to the Director. 

Marketing & Content

  • Lead the execution of property marketing plans and campaigns across rooms, spa, food and beverage, memberships, and events. 
  • Oversee the marketing calendar, ensuring campaigns, programming, content, and departmental requests are coordinated and appropriately prioritized. 
  • Direct the development of property collateral, including newsletters, digital content, signage, menus, flyers, and in-house materials. Review creative and copy before anything is published or printed.
  • Oversee property website updates and relevant third-party listings, ensuring offers, services, dining information, and programming are accurate and current. 
  • Guide the team’s social media planning, content creation, copy, and community engagement, ensuring the channels reflect The Standard’s voice and showcase what is actually happening at multiple venues across the property. 
  • Lead planning and coordination for property photo and video shoots, setting content priorities and ensuring the resulting assets meet marketing needs. 
  • Coordinate paid media, CRM, and performance campaigns, providing local direction, assets, and insight into property priorities. 
  • Review campaign results with the team, identify opportunities to improve performance, and recommend adjustments to the Director. 
  • Ensure all property marketing follows The Standard’s brand guidelines while feeling specific to Miami Beach and Belle Isle. 

Programming, Partnerships & PR

  • Lead the marketing team’s planning and execution of the property’s cultural, wellness, food, and music programming calendar in collaboration with the Director and operational leaders. 
  • Oversee event and activation plans, including timelines, promotional strategy, creative deliverables, guest lists, partner commitments, and post-event recaps. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local collaborators, practitioners, artists, chefs, DJs, brands, and cultural organizations; bring forward partnership ideas aligned with property goals. 
  • Ensure programming across the spa, pool, docks, gardens, restaurants, and bars is promoted clearly and consistently. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day PR activity with the agency, including property updates, assets, media visits, and hosted experiences. Escalate major opportunities and sensitive matters to the Director. 
  • Oversee the team’s hosting plans for press, influencers, talent, collaborators, and VIPs, working closely with Operations to deliver a thoughtful experience. 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Miami’s hospitality, wellness, art, food, and nightlife communities and use those insights to inform programming and partnerships. 

Business & Commercial

  • Work with Sales, Revenue, Spa, Food & Beverage, and Membership leaders to align campaigns and programming with business needs. 
  • Maintain awareness of occupancy, outlet performance, key dates, and revenue priorities when planning marketing activity. 
  • Manage the team’s work against approved budgets, track project expenses and vendor invoices, and flag proposed changes to the Director. 
  • Oversee monthly marketing and programming recaps, ensuring reporting captures activity, results, learnings, and recommended next steps. 
  • Support the Director in preparing plans, budget proposals, and presentations for hotel and corporate leadership. 

Qualifications & Expectations

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, entertainment, or a similarly experience-led brand.
  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years) directly managing a marketing team, including delegating work, setting priorities, reviewing output, coaching employees, and conducting performance conversations. 
  • Proven ability to lead complex campaigns and events from planning through execution while keeping a team organized and accountable. 
  • Strong creative judgment and excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to guide others in brand voice, storytelling, and visual presentation. 
  • Experience across social media, email marketing, content production, partnerships, PR coordination, and digital campaigns. 
  • Comfort interpreting marketing results and using them to recommend practical improvements. 
  • Knowledge of Miami’s creative, hospitality, and wellness communities, or a demonstrated ability to build meaningful local relationships. 
  • A hands-on, solutions-oriented leadership style, focused on giving clear direction and feedback while also handling your own projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.

  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment.

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the property as needed for meetings, events, activations, and photoshoots.

  • Occasional bending, reaching, and carrying of marketing, event, or office materials.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments during property events and programming.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members, guests, vendors, partners, and collaborators in person, by phone, and through virtual platforms.

Skills Required

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, entertainment, or a similarly experience-led brand
