Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) provides products and services to major Corporate, Institutional and Government clients achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on-/off-balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management solutions. IB&M is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the bank’s corporate and government clients.
IB&M has offices in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe and Asia.
The IB&M Line 1 Operational and Specialised Risk team sits centrally in the Non-Financial Risk & Conduct team, supporting IB&M in meeting its strategic objectives. The function provides a comprehensive risk service, providing risk management advice and co-ordination of risk management activities across IB&M and ensures there is effective governance, oversight and management of operational risks across IB&M.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to co-ordinate Business Continuity activities for IB&M. You will ensure that the impact of a business disruption event is minimised, and that IB&M can continue to service its clients if an unexpected event arises. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the business continuity response during such an event.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
The key responsibilities for this role involve coordinating and managing Business Continuity activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the enhancement of frameworks related to third-party risk and Material Service Providers (MSPs):
Coordinate Business Continuity activities with Institutional Banking & Markets subject matter experts and ensure annual Business Continuity lifecycle activities are completed and approved, including Business Impact Analysis and maintaining Business Continuity Strategies and Plans.
Prepare reports on Business Continuity for risk committees and manage issue remediation and educate internal stakeholders on operational resilience, crisis management, and business continuity.
Oversee and coordinate response and recovery efforts during business disruptions and crisis events and facilitate disruption scenario exercises with the business when requested.
Identify critical IT services and key suppliers for critical functions, addressing recovery gaps and ensuring correct tiering and recovery capability.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure CPS230 compliance and address findings or recommendations and support the enhancement of frameworks related to Material Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party risk.
Assist in defining and embedding Critical Operations and business continuity planning as required under CPS230 and the existing CBA Business Continuity Standard.

Prior experience with local and offshore Business Resilience regulatory requirements.
Effective influencing skills to ensure that the Group Business Continuity Framework is fit for purpose within IB&M.
Ability to manage / collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines & levels.
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise and manage key deliverables.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise critical tasks and manage incidents effectively.
