The Role

Join the Kyndryl legal team for a unique opportunity to manage legal matters pertaining to the organization. This position will involve leadership within the legal department and the empowerment to drive initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness among team members.

As the Associate Director and General Lawyer, you will be responsible for overseeing Technology Contracting and providing General Corporate Advisory services across the APAC and MEA regions. The ideal candidate should possess substantial legal experience and expertise in technology transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate advisory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead negotiations and structuring of complex technology contracts, including SaaS, cloud, outsourcing, and software development agreements.

• Provide general corporate legal advisory, focusing on risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and governance.

• Advise on cross-border legal issues, ensuring adherence to regulations within the APAC and MEA regions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business, finance, and compliance teams, to provide seamless legal support for strategic initiatives.

• Manage contractual disputes and support litigation matters as needed.

• Stay informed of emerging trends in technology law and their implications for business.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

• 9 to 15 years of post-qualification experience in technology contracting and corporate advisory.

• Experienced in managing cross-border technology transactions.

• Knowledgeable in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance.

• Capable of providing legal advice in dynamic and high-growth environments.

• Proficient in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Legal degree preferred.

• Proven experience in legal management, including overseeing legal teams.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills, as well as business judgment

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
