Associate Director, Digital Engagement (Pharma Media)
Location: NYC metro area with options to work in Summit, NJ or NYC

Position Overview
Propeller is seeking a highly organized and proactive Associate Director, Digital Engagement (Pharma Media) to be the media Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Propeller covering omnichannel campaigns including Paid Search, Programmatic, Social, Email, Display, TV/streaming, Audio, Point of Care, EHR, Conferences/OOH across HCP and DTC campaigns. The ideal candidate brings deep media expertise with end-to-end understanding of how a media campaign is created, activated, and optimized.
The Associate Director, Digital Engagement (Pharma Media) will drive the orchestration of the partners relationships, trafficking, tagging, reporting, budget of media campaigns and be involved in strategic planning.
- AdOps Partnership: Lead the relationship with the Ad Operations agency, leading status meetings, communicate budgets, creative timing & rotations, placements, analytics, and changes to the media plan.
- Media Partner Relationships: Manages the relationship with media partners to ensure placements are correct, on strategy, on time.
- Reporting & Analytics: Overseeing the monthly collection of performance data and partner with the Strategy team to create monthly reports. Lead strategic quarterly analytics meetings and lead activation of optimizations that come out of the meetings.
- Financial Oversight: Manages the media out-of-pocket budget including coordinating the signing of IOs, detailed knowledge of when and how much will be billed by media partners, provide monthly media budgets to ad operations partners to align with strategy
- Tags & Trafficking: Communicate and understand what kind of tagging (brand safety, performance, site analytics) is applied to each tactic and be able to communicate the needs to the ad ops teams as well as communicate what kind of data is being capturing and how it can be used.
- Strategy & Planning: Ensure the media plan aligns with client objectives, media mix, and budget best practices. Drive innovation and the omnichannel customer experience by bringing new AI partner and partner capabilities into media plans.
Qualifications
- 8+ year experience and deep knowledge of the media management process and tools, preferably in an agency setting
- Pharma experience
- Deep understanding of how channels can be connected to optimize the customer experience and drive brand objectives (including display, social, search, programmatic, and email).
- Expertise with ad servers, CRM, and measurement tools Google Campaign Manager, DSPs, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, GA4, , Salesforce, Crossix
- Strong understanding of tagging, trafficking, QA, and digital media measurement.
- Familiarity with ad verification/fraud tools (e.g. IAS, DoubleVerify).
- Experience with data governance and compliance protocols
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
