General Description:
- This role is responsible for leading and managing the Clinical Supply activities within the planning organization, which is comprised of Clinical Supply Chain Leads. The position provides leadership to the team and manages direct reports as well as mentors Clinical Supply Chain team members as required to ensure optimal organizational performance.
- Oversees the development of demand and supply plans to ensure accurate and continuous supply to patients while reducing risk and minimizing waste. Represents Clinical Supply Chain to internal stakeholders and may also manage relationships with external supply partners. Builds strong relationships with BeOne’s functional management (including but not limited to Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Quality, and Clinical Development) to ensure alignment of organizations and prompt resolution of critical issues.
- Has a strong working knowledge of clinical supply chain best practices (processes, metrics, systems) and experience working within a cGMP and GCP environment. Has strong cross-cultural awareness and communication skills to lead an organization in a fast-paced multi-national company.
Essential Functions:
- Lead Clinical Supply teams (Supply Chain Leads and other execution-oriented roles such as Label Development, CMO Management, etc.) as a part of an overall global supply chain management role.
- Provide managerial support to several employees with the overall responsibility of leading, training, and mentoring for effective performance.
- Build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure alignment.
- Oversee the creation of Clinical Supply Plans and Demand forecasts, packaging and distribution.
- Oversee management of cGMP inventory throughout the supply chain and ensure drug accountability.
- Represents Clinical Supply Chain organization on Development Review Committee (DRC) and Development Core Team (DCT) as required.
- Act as point of escalation for Clinical Study Teams.
- Develop supply strategies to maximize supply efficiency, minimize waste while identifying risk and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Prepare and manage the Clinical Supply Chain functional budget
- Responsible for investigation of exceptions to determine root causes, implement CAPAs and drive closure.
- Lead/Sponsor projects and process improvements related to clinical drug supply.
- Lead and assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Other activities as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage direct reports as well as provide mentoring to their reports/teams as required. Direct reports may reside at locations other than your base location.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience with significant clinical supply chain experience in pharma or biotech.
- Proven experience supporting global clinical trials (Phase I–III).
- Strong knowledge of packaging, labeling, distribution, and comparator sourcing.
- Deep understanding of GCP and cGMP regulations.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
