Job Description Summary:
The Associate Director, Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding Cambridge Associates’ client base in the Southeast region. Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Sales Management, this individual will be responsible for identifying, researching and cultivating new business opportunities, managing prospect relationships, and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives in support of the firm’s broader growth goals. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and execute tailored outreach plans to prospective clients, tracking all activity and recording it in a CRM system.Job Description:
- Develop a thorough understanding of Cambridge Associates' investment services, processes, and philosophy as they relate to the firm’s prospective client base.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Cambridge Associates’ presence in the Southeast region.
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospective clients, including private clients, pension funds, endowments and foundations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, consultants, and industry influencers.
- Support brand-building efforts, including representing Cambridge Associates at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Update and maintain CRM systems, track all activity, and report on trends and business development outcomes.
- Coordinate with investment, client service, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and delivery of customized outreach and relevant content.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in investment management, consulting, or financial services, with a focus on business development or client acquisition.
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing new business opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of institutional investment landscape and client needs.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the Southeast region’s market dynamics and client base is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

136500In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
