About your role:
The Associate Director, Brand Partnerships is responsible for supporting the growth of DDM’s business by contributing to the direction and development of new business efforts. The candidate works in conjunction with the other sales directors to drive revenue by producing consistent, comprehensive, innovative, high-quality and persuasive advertising proposals and presentations. With guidance from the Executive Director of Growth & Partnerships. The prospective candidate will be expected to support prospecting efforts as well as thorough research, outreach management and ideation. It is expected that this candidate will proactively contribute to the development of ideas and be assertive in their sales approach to capture new business for Dotdash Meredith

Create strategies and tactics to meet sales goals and objective.

Meet/exceed budgeted revenue goals by developing new business and growing existing business.

Negotiate each account for maximum revenue for Dotdash Meredith.

Take a leadership role in initiating, developing, expanding, and closing multi-magazine programs, keeping all informed on the status during the sales process.

Track competitive set and grow share of market with a focus on achieving #1 share both within competitive set and account specific.

Assess business and submit accurate short- and long-term forecasts to Growth & Partnerships management team and, proactively communicating any fluctuations of forecasts and developing plans to offset potential shortfalls.
New Business Development

Proactively work with sales staff to identify, develop, and close new business on an ongoing basis by prospecting from both endemic and non-endemic media.

Thoroughly prepare for each sales call – review client’s ad, media schedule, competitive landscape and all available resources uncover important information.

Initiate in-person sales calls when appropriate.
Asset Diversification

Develop thorough knowledge of Dotdash Meredith assets.

Align client goals with specific assets to drive revenue across platforms. Assets include digital, printing, onsert program, database marketing.
Hybrid 3x a week- (NYC)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About the Team:
The Growth & Partnerships team is responsible for new business development across the iconic Dotdash Meredith portfolio of brands. The Growth team works with Direct-to-Consumer advertisers on building and selling ROI-driven campaigns that drive growth and consumer engagement, with an emphasis on response analytics in order to drive revenue and close business across DDM’s Print, Digital, and Onsert businesses.

80% - Meet/exceed budgeted revenue goals for by sales management on assigned accounts by developing new business and growing existing business.
20% - Take a leadership role in initiating, developing, expanding, and closing multi-brand programs, keeping all informed on the status during the sales process. Accurately estimate business with short- and long-term forecasts to the Growth & Partnerships management team, and proactively communicate any fluctuations by developing plans to offset potential shortfalls.
All other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Advertising/Marketing or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
1 to 3 years advertising sales experience.
