JMA has an opportunity for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Bologna, Italy.

The DevSecOps Engineer at JMA will build and enable CI/CD with a focus on productivity and increased efficiencies, support the Security team, and mentor team members in DevSecOps best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines: collaborate on building and securing CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests, vulnerability assessments, and deployment to on-premises environments.
• Script Automation and process improvement: use Python, Bash and Ansible to automate routine tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve efficiency in systems and processes.
• Security Integration in DevOps Practices: collaborate with the Security team to implement security practices across the DevOps lifecycle, including secure code reviews, automated security testing, and container scanning.
• Support R&D departments: collaborate with team leads and project managers to configure and customize project management and issue tracking tools.
• Manage and monitor DevSecOps tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and tool development.
• Good knowledges with Linux, including hands-on CLI experience.
• Proficient with Git, including branching, merging, and collaboration practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Knowledge of container technologies, such as Docker and/or Podman, and experience with container orchestration.
• Understanding of REST APIs and how to integrate them into automation scripts and applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and DevSecOps best practices.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluent Italian & English (B2 level at least)
• (As a plus) Knowledge with Kubernetes
• (As a plus) Knowledge with Ansible
