This is a full time, hybrid role with our office in New York City. This position does require 3 days in office and 2 days that can be completed remotely from home. The hiring base annual salary range for this position is $81,000 - $95,000.

Who We Are Looking For:

The Associate Designer will be responsible for supporting the MM design team to develop fashion CADs and unique and inspiring print designs and illustrations which reflect the brands ethos and image. The Associate Designer will assist the team through every aspect of the design process; from research to design, product knowledge and development. This is an exciting and varied role that requires a pro-active individual who thrives in a fast paced and vibrant environment but can remain calm under pressure. 

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Designer/MM Team to determine and search the mood of the new collection.
  • Support Sr Designer/MM Team to deliver CADs for seasonal collections.
  • Help color research and maintain an accurate working color palette.
  • Inspirational research.
  • Help render/create prints in repeat.
  • Sourcing and matching of color standards.
  • Communicate technical and creative ideas.
  • Help create mood and trend boards.
  • Assist in any part of the design process required by the Senior Designer/MM Team.

Who You Are:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the industry.
  • Fashion Design degree or related work experience.
  • Previous experience of delivering CADs and print development.
  • Highly creative and able to build on inspirations.
  • A good communicator.
  • Knowledge of trends.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Flexible drawing hand/varied technique styles.
  • Excellent drawing skills (painting and illustrations background/knowledge a plus).
  • Knowledge of garment construction.
  • Excellent organization with an ability to manage a changing workload effectively to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Previous experience designing, illustration and print.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task various and competing demands.
  • A calm manner and able to react positively during stressful times.
  • Understanding of the fashion industry and knowledge of childrenswear a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Tech Pack knowledge/PLM Systems a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
