Job Summary:   

The Associate, Data Research supports the development and delivery of commercial real estate (CRE) research, analytics, and insights using internal and external economic, financial, lending, and market data sources. This role contributes to informed, data-driven decision-making by organizing and analyzing datasets and translating findings into clear market intelligence, risk analysis, forecasts, models, visual content, and research materials. The Associate helps maintain research tools and databases, prepares timely analyses of national and local market conditions, and communicates findings through presentations, written materials, webinars, podcasts, and other channels. This role also reviews analytical products and communications for accuracy and consistency and supports repeatable research processes across the Research Group.

Responsibilities:   

• Support the creation and delivery of CRE research covering market performance, economic developments, lending trends, and key financial indicators.
• Identify, organize, and assess internal and external data to generate quantitative and qualitative insights, market intelligence, and analytical solutions.
• Support the development and ongoing maintenance of tools, models, and databases that provide timely intelligence on risk, market performance, and lending activity.
• Prepare economic forecasts, statistical analyses, risk evaluations, and presentations that communicate clear, evidence-based findings.
• Provide timely research and analysis on economic, CRE, banking, and financial conditions in national and local markets.
• Contribute to research content for internal and external audiences across websites, market briefings, presentations, webinars, podcasts, and written reports.
• Collaborate with Client Services to support research offerings and client presentations.
• Review analytical tools, presentations, and written deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.

Required Qualifications:   

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Real Estate, Finance, Data Research, or a related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience analyzing commercial real estate, CRE finance, lending, economic or market conditions, financial institutions, or related risk factors.
• Experience assessing, organizing, and integrating economic, financial, real estate, lending, or market data from multiple sources into clear insights.
• Familiarity with analytical tools, data visualization platforms, statistical or modeling software, or research databases.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to audiences of varying sizes.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and responsiveness, with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to support repeatable research, reporting, and quality review processes, with a demonstrated interest in economics, commercial real estate, finance, and continuous improvement.
