SUMMARY

Q2 is seeking an Associate Data Engineer with a solid foundation in data ingestion and transformation, SQL, Python, and PySpark. Experienced in developing and maintaining ELT/ELT pipelines, validating data, and ensuring data quality across environments. Familiar with cloud platforms and modern data engineering tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Azure. Works closely with senior engineers to understand requirements and deliver reliable, scalable data solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES• Designs, implements, integrates, and tests complex infrastructure and software solutions • Plans, leads, and coordinates development projects including activities of other team members • Provides technical leadership and mentorship for other team members • Reviews and critiques designs and implementations • Facilitates collaboration of working team and often engages with stakeholders and product owners • Ensures development commitments and objectives are achieved • Communicates technical content effectively and drives technical discussions EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience and may require up to 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Aptitude, drive, and desire to learn technology • Ability to learn concepts quickly and work out complex logic problems • Knowledge of basic programming concepts and at least one programming language • Experience with some of the technologies is desired: o Cloud Providers: Azure, AWS o Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker o Data Pipelines: Apache Airflow o Data Tools: Pyspark, Pandas, Databricks, SageMaker, Athena o Databases: SQL Server, Postgresql o Languages: Python, Golang, Bash, SQL o SCM: Git, Github, GitLab o CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitLab

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
