Overview
Allworth Financial is seeking an Associate Creative Director who thrives on bringing ideas to life— from concept to execution. This role sits at the heart of our creative process, combining campaign development, collaboration with design, and high-quality writing across multiple formats.
The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker who’s also an exceptional writer—someone who can generate ideas, craft messaging, and work closely with designers and marketing partners to create cohesive, high-impact campaigns. Roughly 60% of this role involves creative collaboration and development, while about 40% focuses on writing and content creation.
You’ll help shape brand stories, refine campaign narratives, and play an integral role in producing creative work that inspires, informs, and drives results.
This is a full-time, Hybrid, Exempt role based out of our Addison, TX or Folsom, CA office. The annual base salary for this position is $100,000-$115,000.
Responsibilities
Creative Development & Collaboration (60%)
- Collaborate with copy, design, marketing, and leadership to develop campaign ideas and creative concepts.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help translate ideas into cohesive visual and verbal storytelling.
- Conduct audience, competitive, and industry research to inform creative direction and messaging.
- Conduct interviews and independent research to develop content requiring specialized or in-depth knowledge.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and consistency in messaging.
- Manage and support creative projects from initial concept through completion—including research, writing, editing, stakeholder feedback, and production handoff.
- Collaborate with content strategists and project leads to build and manage content calendars, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns.
- Conduct audience and market research to inform creative direction and messaging.
- Build and refine PowerPoint/Keynote decks that communicate campaign concepts and creative rationale.
- Partner with design to ensure visuals and copy work seamlessly together.
- Leverage AI and modern creative tools to ideate, prototype, and refine creative work efficiently.
Content Creation (40%)
- Write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy across channels from digital, social, video to email, presentation, and print.
- Develop campaign messaging, taglines, and content frameworks that align with brand goals.
- Translate complex or technical topics—especially financial concepts—into clear, approachable, and engaging language for target audiences.
- Create sales enablement content that supports marketing objectives and helps lower customer acquisition costs.
- Edit and refine content to ensure consistency of tone, clarity, and creative excellence.
- Ensure all written materials support the broader creative strategy and campaign objectives.

Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in creative marketing or related roles (5+ years agency experience—preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline required.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and high-quality writing across diverse channels (experience in the financial sector a plus).
- Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, product, creative, and leadership).
- Experience using project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, ProofHub, Clarizen, or Basecamp.
- Ability to move fluidly between idea generation, collaboration, and execution.
- Proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides).
- Familiarity with creative collaboration tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma).
- Experience using AI tools to enhance creative development and content creation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Strong research and interviewing skills to support in-depth storytelling and concept development.
- Portfolio of original creative work required.
