The Role
We’re seeking an Associate Creative Director of Web Design to join the marketing team. As a key member of our growing team, you will report to the Head of Brand and Integrated Marketing and will have a direct impact on the growth and success of SimplePractice. As an Associate Creative Director of Web Design, you'll demonstrate your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of customer-facing solutions to deliver the best end to end user experience for key prospect segments in order to drive conversions.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the UX design, strategy, and execution for the SP marketing website with a key focus on revamping the designs for the entire marketing website to deliver outsized improvements in signup rate & customer growth
- Lead, mentor & develop the current UX design team and help elevate the user experience on the marketing website
- Assist Senior Website Manager managing multiple web design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and prioritizing tasks effectively with UX design team
- Manage and drive the web design agency in order to execute on the rebrand and the website redesign for the brand
- Create wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate the current or future user experience.
- Design high converting web pages, landing pages, graphics, icons, and interactive elements
- Ensure that web designs from the web UX design team are responsive, accessible, and optimized for user experience across different browsers and screen sizes
- Collaborate with visual designers, product designers, and work closely with the marketing leadership team in order to deliver the most seamless user experience for key prospect segments
- Rebuild and maintain the marketing website design system, elevating our website visual identity and brand guidelines
- Own the implementation of the design system in Figma and partner with the Website Marketing team to ensure implementation in visual CMS (Builder.io)
- Leverage and contribute to existing branding guidelines
- Analyze and understand user research, interviews, and drive design thinking workshops to understand customer needs, mental models, and working contexts.
- Synthesize research insights to inform design decisions and create visualizations that effectively summarize key findings
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10-12 years of experience as a Sr UX designer or similar background within user experience, design, research or a related field
- Thought leadership with strong knowledge of UX processes, tools, storytelling, and best practices to apply to various kinds of products.
- Ability to balance leading a team and providing individual contributions
- Extensive understanding of accessible web design
- Extensive experience in redesigning web experiences & skilled at crafting end to end customer experiences for a marketing website and at influencing cross functional teams to enable good user experiences holistically
- Extensive experience with standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
- Experience working with WYSIWYG website builders (Webflow, Builder.io etc.) is required
- Knowledgeable in mobile web, desktop web, and native design nuances
- Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and how they are used to make responsive websites
- Skilled at leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions
- Experience working in tech and/or healthcare and experience with rebrands is preferred
- Has a strong portfolio of relevant work experience
Base Compensation Range
$150,000 - $170,000 annually
Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
