Position Overview:

Join the SharkNinja in-house creative agency on our mission to create Outrageously Extraordinary work. We are excited to add an Associate Creative Director team to our global creative dept., reporting director to the VP Global Creative Director at our new NYC office.

As the Associate Creative Director (ACD) for SharkNinja, you will be leading projects, creating culture and inspiring a diverse team of creatives in NYC. Concepting developing and producing breakthrough marketing campaigns, branding strategies, and creative solutions to drive demand for our innovative products. Focusing specifically on advertising conceptual creative. This role will closely partner with our Operations, Production and Social creative within the creative team to define campaigns and content.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear creative vision and strategy that supports the company's overall goals and brand identity.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to understand business objectives, market trends, and customer insights to inform creative direction.
  • Partner with Creative Strategy to ensure strategic creative spark and clarity throughout creative process
  • You spearhead challenges to support your teams
  • Proactive communication skill, setting clear goals and expectations

Team Management:

  • Mentor, and motivate a team of creatives, including art directors, designers, copywriters, and other specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to help team members grow and develop their skills.
  • You love resource design and setting up projects for success 

Campaign Development:

  • Oversee the conceptualization, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring they are on-brand, impactful, and meet quality standards.
  • Champion creative excellence by pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and experimenting with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Understanding and focus on how demand gen product focused work translates and elevates through the funnel
  • Ability to iterate quickly and frequently based on product and messaging changes
  • Working towards Outrageously Extraordinary creative ideas

Brand Identity and Design:

  • Ensure consistency and integrity of the brand across all touchpoints, including advertising, packaging, digital platforms, and physical spaces.
  • Lead the development of visual identities, design systems, and brand guidelines that effectively communicate the brand's values and personality.
  • Partner closely with creative teams across the network to ensure identity is pulled through

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (globally), including marketing, product development, sales, CI, production and external partners, to align creative efforts with overall business strategies.
  • Serve as a key liaison between creative, strategic, and operational functions, facilitating communication and fostering a unified approach.
  • Collaborative approach, injecting creativity into every meeting

Quality Assurance and Performance Tracking:

  • Establish processes and standards for evaluating creative work, ensuring it meets objectives, adheres to brand guidelines, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of creative initiatives, using data and insights to optimize future campaigns and drive continuous improvement. 

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field preferred 
  • Extensive experience (10+ years in creative roles and 5+ years in leadership) within the advertising industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns and driving business results.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative work, including campaigns, branding projects, and design solutions across various channels and platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, and emerging technologies, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, able to balance creative vision with business objectives and operational realities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms, such as Adobe Creative Suite, project management systems, and analytics tools.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed to support global operations and collaborate with regional teams.
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones and cultural contexts, facilitating effective communication and collaboration in a global environment.

Salary Range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000 (DOE)
