Responsibilities: 

 

  • Fresh Ideas: Job #1 is to bring the freshest, most inspiring, and most unexpected social-first ideas to solve our clients’ needs 
  • Proactive Thinking: Continuously generate earned-first, culturally driven ideas, knowing not all opportunities start with a brief 
  • Idea Communication: Present concepts with energy, clarity, and conviction to both internal teams and clients 
  • Collaboration: Work across the agency with strategy, media, digital, and account teams to solve complex problems and bring ideas to life 
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior creatives, fostering their growth and ensuring the development of top-tier work 
  • Cultural Connection: Stay up to date on the latest social and AI trends, ensuring your work reflects current and future cultural moments 

Please note: This a hybrid role located in Chicago, IL. You will have an opportunity to collaborate in-person three days a week at our Chicago office while maintaining flexibility for remote work. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in copywriting or creative roles with a strong emphasis on earned-first and social-first campaigns 
  • Proven ability to craft proactive, culturally relevant ideas that resonate across platforms 
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with a portfolio showcasing innovative, earned-first work 
  • Expertise in social media platforms and tools, and a deep understanding of how AI impacts creative development 
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and guiding creative teams

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations. 

Salary range: $70,000 – $130,000
