Global Capital Markets – Corporate Solutions Coordinator

Business Unit Overview:
BlackRock Capital Markets (BCM) is a centralized, full spectrum platform for all BLK capital markets activities across public and private markets. BCM Partners with investment teams to enable performance through high quality sourcing of public and private investment opportunities, provision of alpha generating debt financing and scaled client co-investment capital. It is a holistic, comprehensive investment platform that provides solutions across the capital stack. BCM helps to deploy public and private capital in portfolios across the full BlackRock platform. BCM works closely with the Equity Private Markets group (EPM) and the Portfolio Management Group (PMG).
The BlackRock Corporate Solutions Team sits within the BCM team. Comprising 12 people globally, the team is co-located with BCM in New York, London and Hong Kong and each region consists of one Solutions Lead and two or three Co-ordinators. The aim of the group is to act as a central point of contact within the firm and the coordinating body for all corporate access events, including bespoke field trips and site visits, roadshows and conference calls. The team also executes all engagements for the Investment Stewardship team (BIS). This role requires liaising between BlackRock investment teams, corporates and the sell-side brokers organising these interactions leveraging BlackRock’s scale and brand to facilitate first class engagement opportunities.
Responsibilities
The Corporate Solutions co-ordinator will assume the following responsibilities:
- Build relationships with Corporate Investor Relations teams with a view to maximising corporate access across the C-suite and divisional management for BlackRock investment teams
- Corporate Solutions sits within the Equity Private Markets platform at BlackRock; working with investors across Private Equity and Real Assets and assisting with their sourcing outreach will be an ongoing part of growing the teams’ impact at BlackRock
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange all logistics associated with corporate access interactions – NDRs, site visits, conference calls and one-off meetings
- Work with broker corporate access teams to seamlessly execute NDRs via the CorpAxe platform
- Develop ongoing knowledge of PM and analyst coverage in allocated sector and/ or region to plan results season roadshow schedule and curate bespoke field trip agendas in line with teams’ investment strategy and philosophy.
- Maintain data related to corporate access engagement, usage rates by investment teams, and broker scorecards to facilitate an end to end technology solution with a high level of data integrity
- Contribute to BlackRock’s fiduciary culture of providing the highest quality service to our clients
- The role is based in London but will require strong co-ordination with the two other regional corporate access teams in New York and Hong Kong.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Financial services experience and ideally, prior experience in Corporate Access, Investor Relations, or Investments
- High degree of operational efficiency, ability to prioritise and multi-task with close attention to detail
- Strong written and inter-personal communication skills
- self-starter with ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiencies in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Fluent English a prerequisite; fluency in additional European languages is an advantage
