Job Summary
Introba is looking to hire an Associate Principal within their Climate Resilience Planning Team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Core Competencies
- Experience leading climate planning or policy projects to building, campus, community, or regional scales.
- Strong communication and engagement skills with experience delivering public stakeholder engagement, writing public-facing and technical reports, and presentation of complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Holistic understanding of climate planning and urban sustainability issues, in particular how they interface with policy at federal, provincial, and local levels.
- Good understanding of climate impacts and vulnerabilities of the built environment, including buildings (eg. Offices, residences, healthcare), traditional green infrastructure, campus/community-wide systems etc.
- Experience leading financial analysis, risk assessment, and carbon accounting.
- Team player with experience leading or delegating tasks within team members.
Responsibilities
- Business Development (existing network and new business), proposal writing, conference presentations, and project management
- High quality project delivery and oversight
- Strategic climate resilience planning
- Climate risk and vulnerability assessments for building and community scales
- Policy development, land use planning, and master planning
- Research and report writing
- Stakeholder workshop, and public process design and implementation
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Planning, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Resource Management, Engineering or Public Policy/Administration, or have similar qualifications combined with relevant experience
- Experience in undertaking complex quantitative and qualitative analysis of climate change and sustainability issues, and preparing comprehensive research reports
- 5-7 years of related experience in climate planning and sustainability work in a professional environment
- Experience using provincial and national sources for climate and GHG data
- Experience in financial analysis, graphic design, and/or advanced computer analysis including GIS, data analytics, and interactive dashboard creation is considered an asset
- Experience in mapping is an asset
- Experience working with indigenous communities is an asset

Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $100,000 - $120,000 annually for this position and local market.
