- Update and keep fluid the client business development pipeline of prospects across the key client segments with corporates and hedge funds being significant focus and priorities in the initial 12-18 months.
- Prepare client prospecting decks that are relevant to educating the client and supporting their preparation for the necessary information, investment profiling and risk assessment for product suitability.
- Maintain strong risk management discipline, ensuring all relevant regulatory and internal compliance policies are built into the design of any client acquisition model by working closely with Legal and Compliance as well as the various product specialists where complex products will be involved in the client business needs.
- Master’s degree or above in Finance, Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of direct client development experience through either client acquisition or investment onboarding work
- Strong understanding of the client investment and risk profiling for non-institutional clients eg corporates and unregulated private funds / hedge funds is a strong plus
- Proficiency in explaining to clients on why certain information is required eg those in relation to their investment decision process, taxation residency and where to safekeep their assets, etc
- Familiarity with global AML laws and regulations and how these are impacted by the various financial products to be traded
- Fluent in both English and Chinese, spoken Mandarin and Cantonese required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as the role will work with both external clients and internal personnel
- Must be patient in working with prospective clients that may not be familiar with the regulatory landscape of the international FICC markets
- Relevant experience attained for the registration with the SFC as a License Representative in Types 1 and 4 representative activities acting for CSI Global Markets Limited
