Title: Associate Client Accountant / Junior Contable
Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Language: Fluent/Native Spanish and English (B1/B2/C1)
We are looking for junior accounting professional with experience in the full accounting cycle and managing client portfolios. The role involves handling bookkeeping, issuing invoices, bank reconciliations, preparing tax filings (including SII), and annual accounts.
Responsibilities include preparing financial reports for clients-cash flow, payments, financial statements, and tax position-along with regulatory reporting. The role also provides audit support, prepares tax documentation for submission, and delivers periodic client reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and annual accounts.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and able to provide accurate, timely financial information while offering clear guidance to support clients' needs.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Accounting, reporting, and preparing and issuing invoices for several companies.
- Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of tax returns and SII, and preparation and review of annual accounts.
- Preparing all types of accounts, payments, cash flow statements, reports, financial statements, cash positions, and tax positions for client companies.
- Preparing regulatory reports for third parties.
- Bookkeeping, including accounting entries and related supporting documentation.
- Assisting with audits by providing the required information.
- Obtaining accounting information for tax filings and preparing tax submission files for the STA.
- Supporting clients with financial reporting, including periodic balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and annual accounts.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably within a multi-client company.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficient level of English (B1/B2/C1) to communicate fluently with clients.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- A proactive approach to daily tasks and a strong team-oriented attitude.
- Interest in working with different cultures.
