The Opportunity

Join the Burlington location as an Associate Category Manager - Waterworks, where you’ll drive sales, profitability, and market share growth through effective product and supplier strategies. We’re looking for a collaborative and analytical professional who can manage category performance, build strong supplier relationships, identify growth opportunities, and work cross-functionally to deliver value to customers and achieve business targets.


What you will do

• Accountable for managing the business to achieve sales targets, maximizing profitability, funding contribution, while driving market share growth

• Work closely with Wolseley Branches and Sales Teams to deliver increased value to Wolseley customers.

• Review product assortment with the category team and develop supplier and product opportunities nationally and where relevant, regionally.

• Collaborate with suppliers, sales teams, and cross-functional teams in support of a regular cadence of business reviews.

• Support negotiations with suppliers and develop execution plans to achieve targets (sales, margin, rebates, marketing funding, etc.)

• Analyze key financial and operational metrics to determine the success of individual products and programs and identifying potential challenges and opportunities.

• Develop and review weekly, period and YTD sales and margin reports and related analytics in support of performance reviews and overall category opportunities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute category intentional supplier and product strategies.


What you will bring

• Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline.

• 2+ years of experience in Category Management or relatable experience.

• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, tableau, Microsoft BI and PowerPoint

• Proven capability in managing and analyze product data.

• Solid cross-functional leadership and supervisory skills.

• Ability to think strategically with a solution-based mindset.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.

• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

• Work effectively within a fast-paced work environment, meeting deadlines while balancing competing demands on your time.

• Fluency in both French and English an asset.


Base Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 + 15% MIP

Where a salary range is posted, the total compensation range posted for this role represents the total compensation opportunity, which may include base wage, bonuses, commissions, and/or other monetary components, if applicable.  Placement in the range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, candidate experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the role. 


Benefits eligibility varies based on employment status and contract length. Full-time permanent positions are eligible for the full benefits package. Fixed-term contract positions may be eligible for health and dental benefits depending on the terms of the position. Short-term contract positions are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.
