The Associate, Business Insights will support initiatives that are critical to the firm’s strategic sales efforts. Working with the global client group (GCG) operations team, sales teams, and technology team, the associate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of reporting and bespoke analysis. The daily work will involve leveraging internal and third-party data to draw actionable insights in an efficient way, in addition to supporting functions around data governance, sales operations, and reporting. The role falls within the GCG Sales Operations division, which supports the day-to-day operational needs of the sales group in the areas of business insights, product management, intermediary relationships, client onboarding, reporting and administrative services.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Snowflake and Power BI to generate reporting that supports the sales team and growth initiatives
- Analyze third party competitive intelligence data to identify new growth opportunities for the firm
- Assist with data governance, including data cleanups and process documentation
- Communicate data analysis and updates for technical and non-technical audiences
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to understand needs and develop professional working relationships within the GCG and other groups globally
- Identify areas to improve data automation and partner with colleagues to implement solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; coursework in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, information systems, computer science, or finance/accounting is preferred
- 2-4 years’ experience in data analytics, business analysis, or similar role
- Excel, SQL, and Python skills
- Experience with Snowflake or similar platforms (dbt and Fivetran is a plus)
- Experience with Power BI, including DAX
- Experience with CRM, especially Microsoft Dynamics
- Demonstrated interest in helping sales teams make process-driven, data-informed decisions
- Documented analytical and quantitative skills; strong background with large data sets and the data analysis process
- Ability to gather requirements amid ambiguity
- Interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills
- Work equally well in a team environment and independently
