Job Summary
The Associate Analyst – Production Control supports the reliable execution of batch processes across multiple environments using enterprise scheduling tools such as Control‑M, UC4 (Automic), and Autosys. This role focuses on monitoring scheduled jobs, resolving standard failures, supporting automation efforts, and ensuring business critical workflows run as expected. The Associate Analyst works closely with senior team members and application teams, follows established procedures, and contributes to operational efficiency and compliance. This position is for individuals who are developing a strong foundation in batch operations, automation and production support.
The Associate Analyst – Production Control position reports into the Manager – IT Production Control.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and execute batch jobs using enterprise scheduling tools (Control‑M, UC4, Autosys).
Ensure timely completion of daily and nightly batch processing under defined SLAs.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine job failures using documented procedures; escalate complex issues as needed.
Support consistency of batch schedules across development, testing, and production environments.
Assist with basic scripting and job automation tasks and assist with enhancing system performance.
Assists in developing Production Support standards and procedures.
Support application teams with job scheduling requests and production issues.
Works independently on assigned projects specialized for Production Support.
Provides technical assistance to applications and computer operations area.
Participate in incident, change, and problem management activities following ITSM processes.
Assist in generating operational reports and dashboards related to job performance and batch health.
Support audit readiness and compliance documentation assessment.
On a rotating basis, provide on-call support 24 hours 7 days a week.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in IT operations, production support, or job scheduling.
Good communication (both verbal and written), including documentation skills.
Basic hands-on experience working in IT operations, including enterprise job scheduling tool.
Knowledge of Unix/AIX/Wintel Operating systems.
Knowledge of IBM utilities, shell scripting, python and or PowerShell for automation.
Troubleshooting skills, reviewing logs, scripts and fix jobs / automated batch processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to SAP batch jobs or ERP‑related workflows using Autosys, UC4, Control-M, or Stonebranch.
Prior experience working with Unix/AIX/Wintel systems, Python and Ansible for automation tasks.
Certification in Control-M or related technologies.
Familiarity with SAP, FTP/SFTP, encryption, Amazon s3, and cloud technologies.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow and ITSM processes and tools.
