Job Description
The Associate Accountant oversees the inventory management – add, update, monitor, summarize
and file.
The Associate Accountant supports the finance and accounting team by performing a variety of
accounting duties. This role is responsible for maintaining general ledger and subsidiary ledger
entries, assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal
candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a foundational understanding of
accounting principles.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
• Perform inventory audit and/or count with the supervision of the Procurement Supervisor.
• Assist the General Accountant on the preparation of financial and non-financial reports.
• Assist on overseeing the procurement process of the Sky Group.
Key Responsibilities
• Visit the Sky Group vicinities for inventory taking, audit and/or monitoring.
• Assist on determining the beginning and ending balances of the inventory every month, at least.
• Handles the BIR filing related to inventories annually.
• Encode data based on the instructions of the Team.
• Handle emergency cash advances for fast-track purchasing, which are subject to liquidation.
• Attend to the inventory issues and report to the managers for proper action/s.
• Ensure that the disbursement vouchers are properly documented and complete and valid as to
the attachments.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the team.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
•A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, coupled with relevant accounting experience.
• At least 1–2 years of progressive experience in end-to-end accounting process
• At least 1 year of experience in Inventory Management
• Experience on advanced MS Office e.g. Excel
• Solid understanding of Business Taxation, and recent updates on Taxation
• Minimum knowledge in using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Desktop
