Associate Accountant
The Associate Accountant is responsible for supporting our General Accounting team. This job reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounting.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in month end closing of books of accounts (including but not limited to Cash, Fixed Assets, Account Payable, T&E expense reimbursement) / working on various sub-ledgers / accounting knowledge / balance sheet reconciliation & reporting activities.
- Assist in quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and analyses.
- Assist in annual external audit and experience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
- Participate in the development and improvement of internal control policies, procedures and compliance.
- Support equity-based transactions, including fundraising and stock compensation expenses.
- Support ad hoc analysis for operating departments and management as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and experience working with a fast-paced, fast changing, high-tech start-up or complex company.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Word and Excel, and intuitive and fast learner to different software and technologies.
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or related fields preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience using Oracle Financial Application preferred.
The hourly rate for this role is $30.10 to $35.10 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package. As part of our pay for performance based pay program, this role is eligible to potentially receive merit bonuses of up to 15% of base salary for exceeding expectations. |
