We are looking for an Associate Account Director who is passionate about expanding the ways people experience brands, has a specific eye for the details, and skillfully communicates with various stakeholders. They manage all client relationships and associated requests, and work closely with all other teams to ensure deadlines are met and creative work gets out the door in a consistent and timely manner.
This person must have a strong ability to manage a cross-functional team and multiple work streams simultaneously. Projects will vary in scale and scope, and require ability to deftly manage multiple sub-workstreams. Associate Account Directors are crucial to the fluidity and efficiency of projects and should be prepared to get their hands dirty in all stages of the process, acting as a utility player to provide support to the team.
The ideal candidate is a go-getter with high expectations for themselves. They‘re also looking for ways to make operations more efficient, opportunities to improve the model or framework they are working with, and the know-how to get the best of their team’s time. This is a role for someone who is great at relationship building, being proactive, who has a business-sense, and is curious about how media can be creative.

This role works out of our LA office on Tuesdays.
Responsibilities
- Serve as steward of the brand while always having an eye on pushing for the best creative work
- Act as Client point of contact and representative of the agency, helping with presenting estimates, SOWs, project status, and deliverables.
- Manage client expectations and anticipate client needs for short-term and long-term projects
- Develop and manage staffing plan to ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilization as well as budget development and approval
- Facilitate reviewing creative and strategic briefs with an eye toward Client’s business goals
- Lead internal and client meetings
- Manage and monitor project lifecycles by managing day to day workflow, timelines, and milestones; working with team to help drive scheduled deliverables, relay revision requests, record progress and help tackle obstacles as they arise
- Establish clear integration checkpoints to facilitate collaboration between the internal departments involved in the creative development process
- Advocate for internal, cross functional teams (strategy, creative, production) to maintain integrity of the work, while staying on schedule and on budget
- Co-own management of all client billing alongside Giant Spoon billing team
- Manage internal asset management, talent usage and asset trafficking, in partnership with the Production team
- Maintain an ongoing knowledge of ongoing competitive advertising and category trends and keep the larger team in the know
Requirements
- 5+ years of client-facing account and project management experience in advertising or related creative, fast-paced businesses
- Strong analytic and strategic abilities
- Effective written, verbal, and visual communicator
- Ability to craft internal / external presentations and present in an engaging way
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and be resourceful, flexible and quick to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate creatively across departments and offices
- Excellent interpersonal skills that encourage cross-coastal team collaboration, and foster trust with clients and teammates
- Digitally connected, passionate about technology and innovation with an insatiable curiosity for how it applies to our industry
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack and Microsoft Office.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location.
