Assistant Transitional Coordinator
The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center, Inc. (JRC) is a day and residential school located in Canton, Massachusetts, licensed to serve ages five through adult. Since 1971, JRC has provided very effective education and treatment to both emotionally disturbed students and clients with conduct, behavior, emotional, and/or psychiatric problems, as well as those with intellectual disabilities or on the autism spectrum.
JRC is seeking a compassionate and organized Assistant Transition Coordinator to support students with Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as they prepare for life beyond school. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Transitional Coordinator, educators, families, and community partners to implement personalized transition plans, connect students to real-world learning opportunities, and help them build the skills and confidence they need for post-secondary success. The position is a non-exempt hourly position reporting directly to the Transitional Coordinator. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

QualificationsEducational/Work History Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years of experience working with a multi-handicapped population.
- Ability to work additional hours as necessary.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to function with little supervision.

The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center (JRC) is a residential educational school and adult services provider located in Canton, Massachusetts. It provides specialized education and behavioral treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Serving students from age five through adulthood, the center utilizes a highly structured environment and behavior modification methodologies to support its residents.
