Assistant Quality Assurance ManagerJob DescriptionJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to lead day-to-day quality operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors, driving CAPA and nonconformance resolution, supporting audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily quality activities on the production floor.
- Manage and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors.
- Drive CAPA, NCR, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with QMS, ISO 9001 requirements, SOPs, and control plans.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness.
- Coordinate customer quality issues, including 8D investigations and responses.
- Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, NCR, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Poka-Yoke.
- Experience with quality audits, QMS, MES, and ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or CQE certification is an added advantage.
