Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will support the delivery of Project Management Consultancy services for a landmark luxury hospitality and entertainment destination featuring world-class hospitality, immersive entertainment, premium retail, and diverse leisure attractions.
Working closely with the Project Director, Deputy Project Director, and wider PMC leadership team, you will support the day-to-day management, coordination, and administration of the project throughout design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and the Defects Liability Period.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support the Project Director and Deputy Project Director in the day-to-day delivery of the PMC services.
Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and the Defects Liability Period.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, deliverables, and the Project Action Plan.
Coordinate interfaces between the Client, designers, supervision consultants, contractors, specialist consultants, operators, utility providers, and statutory authorities.
Support project controls activities, including schedule monitoring, action tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and change management.
Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and technical reviews, ensuring agendas, minutes, action registers, and follow-up activities are completed.
Monitor the status of design deliverables, approvals, authority submissions, procurement activities, construction progress, and commissioning readiness.
Assist in reviewing project reports, dashboards, correspondence, and recommendations before submission to the Client.
Maintain project documentation, registers, deliverables, and information within the Electronic Document Management System.
Coordinate with the Supervision Consultant to monitor construction progress, quality, HSE performance, and contractor compliance.
Identify project risks, interface issues, and potential impacts on cost, schedule, quality, and operational objectives.
Promote effective communication, collaboration, and timely decision-making across all project stakeholders.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management Consultancy, Construction Management, or major multidisciplinary development projects.
Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use, destination, or resort developments.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong knowledge of project management, project controls, stakeholder coordination, interface management, risk management, and change management.
Working knowledge of design management, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and Defects Liability Period activities.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, deliverables, and project interfaces within a fast-paced programme environment.
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, reporting systems, and Electronic Document Management Systems.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Professional certification such as PMP or an equivalent project management qualification.
Experience working on projects delivered through Design and Build contracting models.
