Behavior Interventions was founded in 2006 by two Board Certified Behavior Analysts with a mission to provide quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to our families in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our team is composed of clinical and administrative team members all focused on creating meaningful change in the lives of those we serve. We are seeking an Assistant Program Director, ABA to support our Clinical team and maintain our ABA treatment center in Horsham, PA

Reporting Relationship: The Assistant Program Director, ABA  reports to the Program Director, ABA for all of the duties and responsibilities listed below and for other duties that the Program Director, ABA may assign.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

RBT Requirements Coordinator Support:

  • Support Program Director for RBT supervision requirements
  • Participate in RBT Orientation/Bootcamp
  • Participate in Competency Assessments for Orienting Technicians 
  • Support Program Supervisor in running RBT monthly meetings as needed

Treatment Center Management:

  • Provide crisis management support during sessions and general treatment center coverage
  • Functions as a Trainer for crisis management in identified centers determined by needs to support center staff with direct crisis management training to support their recertification and remediation requirements
  • Support the management of current treatment center services, (e.g., EIBI, CBSI, EP, and summer camp)
  • Support with client referrals and staffing of treatment teams
  • Provides On Call responsibilities, supporting coverage per the annual schedule as a joint responsibility across all centers, compensated by a stipend
  • Supports annual center team goals
  • Attends assigned training, performance meetings, monthly supervision meetings, monthly team meetings, weekly supervision meetings and other administrative meetings as assigned
  • Upholds all Behavior Interventions’ standards, policies and procedures including our equal employment opportunity and anti-harassment policies
  • Operates as a mandated reporter, maintaining awareness of signs or reports of suspected abuse or neglect and reporting to the appropriate state reporting line
  • Implements quality control measures while supporting staff to provide exceptional services
  • Responsible for client referrals and staffing of treatment teams; provide occasional  coverage as needed.

Clinician Support:

  • Utilizes the science of behavior analysis to teach skills to BCBAs, their supervisees, and caregivers
  • Provides weekly BCBA Orientation and support Program Director with orienting new BCBA Hires
  • Co-runs BCBA Monthly Meetings 
  • Supervise BCBAs as assigned by the Program Director
  • Supervision of Behavior Analysts is mainly provided by the Program Director, with support from the Assistant Program Director (e.g., 70% and 30% supervision distribution respectively). Deviations from this proportion may be required determined by center needs and must be approved by the Senior Director of Clinical Services & Operations.
  • Runs 1:1 meeting with BCBAs per identified schedule
  • Completes monthly and quarterly direct observation of Behavior Analysts providing feedback on performance, ensuring satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols, program development, and supervision of Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technicians. Direct observation includes on-site, live-virtual and recorded sessions.
  • Implements strategies to support clinical staff in meeting and exceeding expectations. Strategies include providing feedback, training and coaching on behavior-analytic strategies as appropriate, and implementing performance improvement plans
  • Provides performance feedback for BCBAs
  • Works with clinical leadership and human resources in employee selection, retention and termination proceedings for Behavior Analyst positions for designated office location. Activities include interviewing and selecting candidates, orienting new hires, and participating in decisions relating to disciplinary action.
  • Completes clinical-based initiatives/projects 
  • Supports center with evaluations as needed and assigned by the Program Director
  • Responsible for all follow up with BCBAs when included on emails across departments that require action
  • Responsible for supporting BCBAs in the Restrictive Procedure Assessment and Committee process as designed
  • Functions as a Trainer for staff when trained in “Train the Trainer” contexts related to onsite professional development and offsite R2P events
  • Maintains appropriate written documentation of supervision and team meetings including discussion of clinical programming, performance goals, expectations and corrective feedback when applicable
  • Participates in clinical-based initiatives/projects including Strategic Planning 
  • Coordinates and provides BACB supervision experience opportunities to supervisees in the BACB Supervision Experience (BSE) program as assigned by the Program Director  determined by need with approval by the Senior Director of Clinical Services & Operations

BCBA Caseload:

  • Maintain a caseload and bill a minimum average of 30 hours monthly; for centers identified as requiring a PCM trainer, the APD minimum average is reduced accordingly to 25 hours monthly. The billable hours should be: telehealth cases to appropriately target titration as appropriate, center-based cases to limit travel, high-complexity cases to ensure clinical expertise, case coverage for employee resignations/terminations, and evaluations. Billable hours will be assigned by the Program Director and evaluated by the Senior Director of Clinical Services & Operations. These hours may be adjusted based on center-specific needs with approval by the Senior Director of Clinical Services & Operations (e.g., census, leaves, exits, number of BCBA supervisees, etc.)
  • Assessment and intervention based science of behavior analysis to support families referred
    • Maintains administrative and non-clinical functions to ensure continued success of families served, treatment team, employees and organization as a whole.
    • Engages in professional development activities and supports the professional development of Behavior Interventions’ team members through approved supervision activities.
Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Master’s degree in education, applied behavior analysis or psychology
  • Board Certification (BCBA) through the BACB
  • Behavior Specialist License through PA Board of Medicine (for PA applicants only)
  • Maintains BCBAcredential through the BACB
  • Maintains LBS through the PA Board of Medicine and reports to supervisor and human resources within five days of any certification or licensing status change OR Maintains LBA through the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and reports to supervisor and human resources within five days of any certification or licensing status change  
  • Maintains clearances, credentials and certifications as requested by Behavior Interventions and servicing providers
  • 5 years experience with BCBA certification, developing and implementing behavior analytic programs and completing assessments, required
  • 3 years supervisory experience preferred (supervising BCBAs) 
  • Willingness to travel throughout specified counties for *site visits when in-person support is deemed clinically appropriate. *Site visits may be conducted virtually through live or recorded sessions
  • Experience with VBMAPP, PEAK, PFA/SBT, AFLS, EFL preferred
  • Experience running group meetings and conducting interviews preferred 
  • Experience creating clinical organizational systems preferred
  • Experience developing trainings preferred
  • Experience with PA insurance provider requirements preferred OR willingness to learn
  • Valid form of ID
  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to physically stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and squat while exerting (lift, carry, push or pull) 5-10lbs. constantly, 25lbs. frequently and up to 100lbs. occasionally.
