WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

C+C is looking for a highly motivated, outgoing professional to join the C+C Team in support of a commercial organics technical assistance program and statewide waste reduction campaign. The role will primarily involve in person outreach with local businesses as well as providing policy education and recruitment. This role will also support in-office program coordination in day-to-day project execution and reporting. The territory includes the Greater King County region.

FIELD RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct field visits to local businesses in the greater King County region.
  • Ensure businesses are properly educated on Organic Management Law compliance.
  • Recruit businesses and provide technical and marketing support.
  • Perform formal and informal program and campaign training.
  • Work with businesses to increase organics diversion while minimizing contamination.
  • Regular professional reporting of field visits, trainings, and outreach results to C+C management
  • Virtual engagements via phone and email in a professional, inviting manner to meet all program metrics including turnaround time.
  • Promote program and campaign while talking with patrons at community events.

PROGRAM COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update C+C’s custom Salesforce-based CRM
  • Create, coordinate, and develop field materials.
  • Draft quarterly and ad hoc reports
  • Assist program management with all other aspects of program planning and execution
  • Special projects and other duties, as needed
  • Review and provide input on marketing plans

The field representative will receive extensive on-the-job training on the Organic Management Law, site visits, customer relations practices, data systems and internal policies and practices. This position can be based in either Seattle, WA or in King County.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A background in technical assistance, waste management, or outreach is a plus.
  • Be helpful, professional and a quick learner
  • Be a motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Have a minimum of two years experience in customer relations or similar roles 
  • Plus to have a strong educational background with emphasis in marketing, sales, or communications
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have experience working with Asana, and/or CRM systems like Salesforce.com
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be comfortable with approximately 25-50% travel within Western Washington territory and some evening/weekend hours.

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $55,157- $61,646 plus bonus.
