The Quantitative Methodology: Measurement and Statistics (QMMS) program in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology (HDQM) in the College of Education at the University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2027. Successful applicants will be expected to conduct cutting-edge scholarly research, deliver effective, high-quality teaching to graduate and/or undergraduate students, and engage in professional service at the university and other professional communities.
The QMMS Program has a typical enrollment of around two dozen students in its doctoral and master’s programs, most of whom are full-time with some form of financial support. Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged periods in a stationary position, as well as movement throughout campus and other work locations. May be required to lift, carry, or transport materials and equipment between meetings, classes, and other work-related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have an earned doctorate in an appropriate and related field and conferred by May 2027.
Applicants should possess an exceptionally strong background in quantitative methods as applied in education, the social, behavioral, and/or biological sciences.
Applicants should demonstrate evidence of outstanding scholarly research and interest in participating in collaborative research projects.
All applicants are expected to possess excellent teaching skills including the ability to incorporate the latest insights from methodological research and practice into existing and new courses.Additional Job Details
