The University of Kalba invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Management (Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management) in the College of Business Administration. Applicants must hold a PhD in Management or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research expertise in one or more of any areas of organizational behavior and in the field of human resource management (e.g., strategic HRM, international HRM, people analytics, and employment and development). 

The ideal candidate will have a strong research portfolio in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, demonstrated by publications in high-impact journals. The successful applicant will contribute to the growth of the sociology program through teaching, research, curriculum development, and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in management, organizational behavior, and human resource management using effective and student-focused pedagogies.
  • Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the management curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic and industry trends.
  • Conduct, publish, and disseminate advanced research in the candidate’s area of specialization.
  • Apply and demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies in both teaching and scholarly work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and seek external research funding where appropriate.
  • Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and supervision of research projects.
  • Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations.
  • Foster engagement with industry and community partners to support student internships and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to college and university service, including committee work and governance activities.
  • Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university’s mission and enhance its societal impact.
Qualifications
  • A PhD in Management, Human Resource Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • A strong publication record in reputable academic journals or clear evidence of the potential to publish in leading journals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • At least one year of experience at the Assistant Professor level or in an equivalent teaching role.
  • Proven ability to implement innovative, student-centered, and technology-enhanced teaching practices.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
  • Clear commitment to professional development and staying current with developments in management and organizational studies.

Skills Required

  • PhD in Management, Human Resource Management, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Strong publication record in reputable or high-impact academic journals, or clear evidence of potential to publish in leading journals
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
