Position: Assistant Principal of Instruction (26-27)

Compensation: Starting salary $72,500

THE MUST HAVES
- Bringing previous charter school leadership experience and a deep understanding of the urgency, rigor, and mission-driven work required to drive strong outcomes for scholars.
- Demonstrating 3–5 years of teaching experience with a proven record of strong student achievement results and measurable academic growth.
- Showing a proven track record of driving academic results and closing achievement gaps for historically underserved scholars.
- Coaching and developing teachers with a strong track record of improving teacher performance, instructional quality, and student outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree in education, leadership, or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification (required); endorsement in ESL or Special Education (required).
- 3+ years of teaching experience with demonstrated success in improving student outcomes (required)

THE PERKS
- Compensation: This position is a salaried position; salary offers commensurate with experience.
- Retirement Plans: Employees may participate in TCRS retirement plan in Nashville, TN, or the Principal retirement plan in Jackson, MS.
- Paid Time Off: Employees receive 10 days of Paid Time Off, in addition to network closures. This includes 8 personal leave days and 2 mental health days.
- Paid Leave Programming: In the event an employee needs to take maternity or paternity leave, RePublic Schools provides paid medical leave based on length of service. Employees who have been employed for less than one year are eligible for up to 4 weeks of leave at 100% pay. Employees with more than one year of service are eligible for up to 9 weeks of leave at 100% pay, followed by an additional 3 weeks at 40% pay.

Skills Required
- Previous charter school experience and understanding of mission-driven, results-oriented education work
- 3-5 years of teaching experience with strong student achievement results and measurable academic growth
- Proven success driving academic results and closing achievement gaps for historically underserved students
- Track record of coaching and developing teachers and improving teacher performance, instructional quality, and student outcomes
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree in education, leadership, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification
- ESL or Special Education endorsement
- At least 3 years of teaching experience with demonstrated success improving student outcomes
