As the Assistant Nurse Manager in our Operating Room, you will partner directly with the Nurse Manager to lead day-to-day operations of an elite outpatient oncology and infusion service. The Operating Room provides a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff to provide optimum assistance to the surgeons in meeting the emergency, preventive and restorative health needs of the patients. Procedures performed in the Operating Room Department include general, ENT, plastics, oral, thoracic, vascular, urological, orthopedic, pain management, obstetrical and gynecological operative and other invasive procedures.

How You Will Lead (Responsibilities)
- Operational Excellence: Provides direct care to patients & support the unit RN staff in coordination of the interdisciplinary team and patient education
- Clinical Mentorship: Act as an expert clinical resource, providing clinical supervision and ensuring evidence-based operating room competencies are met.
- People & Team Development: Complete staff performance evaluations within 60 days of their anniversaries, coaching nurses to support professional growth.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Drive operating room specific Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, input clinical data for policy revisions, and assist with service budget prep.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical RN experience required; background in inpatient surgical or previous charge/leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Active Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Certifications: BLS certification required; Certification in relevant clinical area preferred.
- Core Skills: Exceptional communication, interdisciplinary conflict resolution, and the ability to organize and delegate effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
