Group Summary

About the Role
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, responsible for managing the Materials Analysts and the Service Parts team. Ensures that organizational materials objectives are successfully achieved, primarily related to cost, delivery and ERP functions.
Your Responsibilities

  • Leads the team with leadership and direction to Material Analysts Service Parts Analyst for all active customers. Support and facilitate training for material team members as required.
  • Follows up, resolves and escalates supplier delivery issues. Drives corrective action. Continuously strives to optimize inventory levels and reduce cost.
  • Oversees tracking and execution of engineering changes from Bill of Materials to production implementation. Communicate with customer and supplier regarding break point timing.
  • Manages the review of cycle count activities with root cause analysis to ensure integrity of inventory in ERP system.
  • Ensures supplier releases are accurately developed and distributed in a timely fashion through MRP and system parameters. Provide daily & weekly customer demand overview and analysis to ensure fluctuation are recognized and communicated to production and supply chain.
  • Daily review with the Analyst to monitors the inbound supply of materials to ensure an adequate supply at all times. Utilize PFEP for analysis and potential improvements in material flow, handling and freight reductions.
  • Responsible to ensure the submission of customer required documentation (COO, USMCA, MMOG, Free Trade Solicitation)

Your preferred qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive materials experience in a JIT automotive environment.
