The role

Seeking a motivated, adaptable, and analytical individual to join the Molton Brown USA Marketing Team as an Assistant Marketing Manager to support marketing. 

You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager to assist in sustaining and growing the US business through Wholesale, Stand Alone Stores (SAS), digital and hotel channels. You will work with the Manager to assist in developing & executing marketing plans and support the day-to-day monitoring & management of the various channels that support overall brand strategy, provide return on investment and drive profitable growth of the US business.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with the execution of key projects and new initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Molton Brown retail stores and sales associates, the Wholesale Sales Force and accounts, the Hotel team and public relations agency.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Marketing and Digital Marketing plans.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams in the Molton Brown US local and UK global offices, as well as agencies (i.e. Public Relations) and third party retailers (i.e. Dillard's, Bluemercury etc.) to support and execute campaign activations,  marketing calendars and trade plans/promotional strategies.
  • Support the US social media platforms ( Instagram and Facebook): sharing monthly feature priorities, provide assets and copy, coordinate with the Global Team on proposed calendars, secure Legal approval on content.
  • Support the planning of the US Campaign Calendar following Global strategy, issuing creative briefs for copy and assets.
  • Coordinate with the PR firm on giveaways and influencer collaborations, drafting T&Cs and reviewing with Kao Legal for approval.
  • Partner with Marketing Manager to create and present Sell in Presentation to Wholesale Accounts twice a year. 
  • Update promotional activity chart and marketing calendars for Wholesale Accounts.
  • Track key competitors, noting product launches,  strategies, pricing and distribution.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in related field.
  • 1+ year experience in Cosmetic industry and / or retail sales experience a plus.  
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) competence is essential.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and search 
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative). Proficiency in reporting and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to multi-task numerous projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proactive, results-driven, goal-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized. 
  • Attention to detail and deadlines necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills must have excellent communication and follow up skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams. Team player.
  • Creative thinker with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable in presenting to, and speaking with, Wholesale Buyers and to Editors.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
