The Role
The Assistant Manager - Vehicle Repurchase Operations plays a key role in managing GM's repurchase program, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position supports cross-functional teams and field sales personnel in executing repurchase cases, while embodying GM's values: Win with Integrity, Commit to Customers, Innovate and Embrace Change, Speak Fearlessly, Move with Urgency, Be Inclusive, Lead as One Team, and Own the Outcome.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Manage end-to-end repurchase case lifecycle, including documentation, approvals, and resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and GM policies
  • Serve as primary liaison with Morley RVDC (supplier partner responsible for repurchase execution), overseeing supplier performance and issue resolution
  • Support field sales teams with access, training, troubleshooting and escalations for repurchase
  • Manage program budget, validate invoices, and collaborate with Finance and Procurement
  • Drive resolution of customer cases with empathy and transparency
  • Identify and implement process improvements and digital tools
  • Analyze repurchase trends and performance metrics to inform strategy
  • Leverage CRM systems and data storytelling to communicate insights and drive decisions
  • Lead projects to ensure compliance with critical state laws for timing, transparency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Quality, Remarketing, and Customer Care teams
  • Support team members and promote an inclusive, growth-oriented culture
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting repurchase operations

Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive operations, supplier management, or customer service
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and budgets
  • Leverage advanced analytics to uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
