We're seeking a strategic yet hands-on Assistant Manager, Retail CRM Strategy individual with a strong analytical mindset to shape and drive the future of retail CRM and campaign performance across GM's portfolio of brands. This role combines strategic design, insight-driven decision making, and operational excellence-leading the development of monthly retail campaigns and build-to-order experiences while providing actionable recommendations that solve business challenges and accelerate sales.
You will partner cross functionally with brand, product, retail, and technology teams to deliver data-informed strategies, optimize creative execution, and champion test and learn initiatives that enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retail Strategic Planning & Insights: Lead the strategic design and development of monthly retail campaigns, ensuring alignment with divisional goals and lifecycle marketing objectives. Analyze retail performance data to identify trends and opportunities and translate insights into actionable recommendations for brands to drive sales and improve customer experience.
- Program Management & Execution: Interface as the lead subject matter expert dedicated to developing, coordinating, and executing key retail journeys and build-to-order programs. Provide knowledge and experience to partners. Retail initiatives include current open offers or private offers for retention and conquest audiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with all brands and business partners, acting as a liaison between groups. Ensure communication initiatives support overarching brand, retail, and lifecycle marketing objectives. Partners include:

- Process and Timeline Management: Work across all teams to ensure project timelines, deliverables, and workflow processes, including client testing and reviews, are aligned and on-time.
- Agency Partnership & Optimization: Partner with agency of record and brands to oversee creative development and campaign optimization efforts to provide a world class ordering, loyalty, and customer experience. Support content matrix development to ensure messaging resonates with target audiences and aligns with brand voice and tone. Optimize processes to drive efficiency across all brands.
- Program Performance, Test & Learn: Monitor campaign performance metrics and direct the development of insights to present program results and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. Recommend testing and pilot opportunities to validate new approaches and optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Manage Communication and Development: Manage agency resources along with client expectations, supporting all brands and models under programs.
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in retail marketing strategy, CRM best practices, and campaign analytics.
- Strong ability to synthesize data and analyze campaign performance to draw strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit strong work output.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and agency partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Flexibility to quickly modify strategy and execution to accommodate changing needs of the business.
- High level of analytical ability where problems may be very unusual and extremely difficult.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Adobe Workfront) and data visualization platforms.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for influencing stakeholders.
- Understanding of vehicle production process, systems, and workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, CRM, or lifecycle campaign management
- Automotive experience ideal/preferred; must have heavy CRM experience if no auto background
