Role Overview
The Assistant
Manager – Finance is responsible for managing donor fund accounting and
ensuring compliance with donor agreements, statutory requirements, and
organizational policies. The role involves maintaining accurate records of
grants, preparing donor utilization reports and certificates, supporting donor
audits, and coordinating with project teams to collect and verify financial
data. The position also supports budgeting, financial reporting, and
reconciliations, including donor, vendor, and bank reconciliations, to ensure
timely and accurate financial management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively work on donor fund
accounting as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) / agreements with
respective donors.
• Assist in donor audits,
including both internal and external audit processes, and ensure timely
submission of required documents.
• Maintain comprehensive data
and records of all grants, including their terms, conditions, and covenants
agreed upon with donors.
• Prepare donor utilisation
certificates, fund utilisation reports, and all related documentation as
required by donors.
• Coordinate with project
teams to collect and verify financial data for accurate reporting.
• Support in preparation of
budgets, financial statements, and management reports.
• Expert knowledge of
reconciliations, including performing donor, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Perform any other tasks
assigned by the Manager – Finance from time to time.
