Job Description
Get to know the Role:
This role requires the candidate to develop a deep understanding of Grab’s business across different verticals (GrabFood, Fintech, OmniCommerce) across multiple areas including product, operations and financials. The candidate will work closely with his/her manager to assist in planning and executing growth initiatives and special projects. The candidate will also partner closely with Grabbers across sales, marketing, account management, product teams, on GTM/strategy design; performance analysis & reporting; and overall program operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysis & creative problem Solving: Work with data to uncover business insights and marry with market research, competitor analysis and product understanding to propose GTM recommendations/hypothesis and problem statements
- Project management: Plan and drive projects or implement cross-department initiatives. Break down complex questions into simpler pieces and deliver information in an easily digestible manner.
- Stakeholder Management - Draw support from various stakeholders across diverse functions for smooth execution of initiatives
- Operations - Take ownership of streamlining strategic processes and/or optimizing certain routine operational and analytical processes in the Commercial strategy team, and potentially find ways to automate them (in collaboration with automation team)
To succeed one will need strong intellectual rigor, both in terms of analytical and problem solving skills. One should be highly adaptive to a dynamic business environment and exhibit a strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn about different Grab business and functions. Ability to manage different stakeholders, challenge status-quo and go beyond recommendation to lead implementation and execution of new projects are also key for growth.
Qualifications
- 4+ of work experience in strategy, GTM and/or product operations roles, preferably in an online industry. Experience in and/or familiarity with e-ecommerce, fintech, F&B is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to churn performance insights from large data sets to influence GTM design and iterations; this will influence the direction of PnL. SQL proficiency is a plus.
- Strong communication and project management skills, including ability to present insights and experiment suggestions in a thoughtful manner.
- Team Player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Knack for picking up tools and products, piecing together how different internal platforms come together to operationalize marketing programs.
- Preference for previous working experience in fast-growing/ tech companies. Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance details with quick execution.
