POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Logistics Coordinator helps to optimize and streamline the flow of goods throughout our organization. This position reports and takes direction from the Logistics Manager. This assistant position performs a variety of duties, including invoicing, arranging pickup and delivery appointments, tracking deliveries, generating reports, and providing general clerical support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Understands the policies and procedures of order processing and deliveries.
  2. Coordinate shipping inventory/customer orders throughout the continental US and Hawaii.
  3. Supports all invoicing and billing of deliveries/shipments to customers.
  4. Involved with follow-up process with truckers, sales reps, and customers to ensure that if any service or delivery incidents occur, the necessary billing corrections are made.
  5. Follow up and process all claims, returns, and credits on time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Proficient in the use of essential office equipment and systems software, especially MS Office
  3. Efficient time management and organizational skills
  4. Excellent written, verbal, and basic math skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and use skilled judgment, especially when working with confidential information.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee in this position works in a primarily administrative office with the following characteristics:

  • Moderate to light levels of noise
  • Office – A/C, room temperature
  • Occasional Warehouse exposure
  • Fluorescent lighting

Work Hours

  • Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays may be requested if help is needed.
  • Schedules/Hours may vary due to business needs and holidays.
  • Working overtime as needed to support business.
