Job Description

General Objective:

Manage Technical Services Department to provide technical expertise for sample approval and laboratory testing support. Liaise with Merchandising Department and PE Department to ensure that order progressing requirements are managed efficiently. Provide support to relevant departments on textile and garment quality and fitting.

Main tasks

• Manage internal sample approval process generated by order progressing to ensure all parties follow KIABI sample approval procedures and lead time as prescribed in norms
• Monitor all laboratory, ensure that all testing requirements are accurately performed in a timely manner.
• Review lab test reports and ensure all compulsory tests prescribed in norms are respected. Manage all test result decisions and make educated and informed decisions on contentious test results
• Review rejection reports and sealed demo samples and make appropriate technical decision including releasing inspection rejection for delivery if discrepancy is acceptable
• Carry out all duties and responsibilities in conjunction with ITFAS counterparts in Kiabi France. To diligently interface and cooperate with Kiabi France personnel to ensure adherence to Kiabi norms and efficient and accurate transfer of information at all times.
• Hold induction for new vendors on quality standard, sample approval process, home & lab testing requirements of Kiabi
• Implement updated or new quality norms and procedures distributed from KIABI France and brief all relevant parties within the relevant Kiabi office
• Provide technical support including live model arrangements, on spot fitting and issue comments on all buying trip and workshop
• Facilitate between Merchandising and Garment Technician teams to ensure the Line Review meetings conducted for critical styles
• Motivate, develop employees to build quality bench strength and appropriate retention; create positive environment and high staff morale
• Manage GT budget & Forecast

Qualifications

High Diploma in Textile / University graduate; minimum 10 years relevant work experience 

• - In-depth textile / testing / garment construction and fitting knowledge

EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• Competency with Excel, Word, and PPT are required.
• Excellent command of English (Reading, Writing and Speaking).
