We're looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee the finance operations across three entities within our group, including a family office, fund company and mobile game studio.
This is a hands-on, sole contributor role. You'll be responsible for managing the full finance function independently—from day-to-day operations to financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements—while partnering directly with leadership.
What You'll Do
Own the Finance Function
- Independently manage the end-to-end finance operations across three entities.
- Handle the full accounting cycle, including General Ledger (GL), bookkeeping, month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare accurate and timely management reports to support business and financial decision-making.
Manage Finance Operations
- Handle GST, corporate tax, and statutory filings, while coordinating with relevant authorities.
- Manage payroll operations, including salary processing, CPF submissions, and payslip administration.
- Review and process payments, ensuring appropriate approvals, supporting documentation, and financial controls.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function across the group.
Ensure Compliance & Financial Governance
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), local regulations, group policies, and MAS reporting requirements where applicable.
- Work closely with external auditors, corporate secretaries, banks, and other professional partners to ensure timely and accurate regulatory compliance.
Drive Process Improvements
- Review and improve finance processes, internal controls, and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Leverage technology, automation, and AI tools to streamline finance operations and improve efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience across both accounting firms and commercial finance roles.
- Proven experience managing full-set accounting independently.
- Good understanding of Singapore financial reporting and tax regulations.
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with VBA or automation tools.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently with strong ownership.
- Comfortable operating in a lean and fast-moving environment.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with stakeholders.
