Assistant Engineer

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring an assistant civil engineer to join our Land Development Department located in Pleasanton, CA. We are looking for E.I.T certified people, or the ability to get within 6 months, to prepare engineering studies for grading, sanitary sewer, drainage and water systems, preparation of construction plans, and cost estimates for infrastructure improvements including roads, sewer and water systems, grading, and drainage facilities for a variety of private projects.

What you will be doing

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct preliminary studies and site investigations to gather data for project planning and design.
• Assist in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
• Perform technical analyses and simulations to evaluate the feasibility and performance of engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports such as hydraulic analyses, alternatives analyses, and other project documentation as required.

The Ante

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 0 to 3 years of experience performing the essential duties listed above. 
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D is preferred
• Skilled in the use of computers for Microsoft Office Suite.
