The Assistant Director WFD Data & Reporting is accountable reporting of all workforce development activities across each functional discipline (e.g. Engagement and Learning & Development). Tracking participant data including enrollment, attendance, completion, credentials, placements, and alumni engagement efforts. The person in this role ensures workforce data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with program goals, funding requirements, and organizational strategy.

What you’ll do in your role:  

  • Lead the development and implementation of a shared framework for data standards, data integrity, and outcome accountability.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of participant data, including enrollment, attendance, completion, credentials, placements, and alumni engagement.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for program improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring that compliance and cohesion occur across functional areas.
  • Support application and compliance of workforce requirements towards grant and donor deliverables.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for donors and grant managers, ensuring staff understand expectations and available support.
  • Translate grant requirements into plain-language operational guidance for staff.
  • Assist with preparation of reports and outcome documentation for leadership, funders, and partners.
  • Ensure reporting and documentation standards are met without compromising participant dignity or access.
  • Partner with the Finance team in the areas of compliance, audits, and data protection and retention.
  • Proactively identify risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain compliance and best practice for WFD operations.
  • Actively participate in workforce planning and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on workforce data systems, reporting processes, and analytics best practice.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:  

  • Minimum of 5-years leadership experience in planning and policy development and implementation for nonprofit organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required; coursework in sociology, public policy, data, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and reporting program data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable tools) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grant management, compliance, and outcome reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding nonprofit administration practices required.
  • Experience working with data systems such as CRM, case management systems, HRIS, LMS, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

The salary range for this position is $85,510 -- $115,690. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.

Skills Required
