TK Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to serve as the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at the Pulaski County Jail in Little Rock, Arkansas.
This leadership position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations, ensure quality patient care, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide leadership to the nursing team in a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment.
The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a critical role in supporting staff development, operational excellence, and continuity of care within a 24/7 correctional healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical and operational oversight.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Provide leadership and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare personnel.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and coverage needs.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, correctional healthcare standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff and assist with resolving clinical and operational issues.
- Collaborate with facility administration, medical providers, and custody staff to ensure effective healthcare delivery.
- Assist with maintaining a safe and professional healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Current, valid, unrestricted Arkansas RN license.
- CPR Certification
- Previous nursing leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous correctional healthcare experience.
- Experience with staff scheduling, performance management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to correctional healthcare.
